Axial Flow Scroll

This feature is critical in production waste management applications where turbulence

within the bowl can cause "washing" of solids from the wall, as well as, causing

inefficient chemical usage by "shearing" flocs or re-creating emulsions after they've

already been broken. With the incorporation of Axial flow design, you're able to

reduce chemical consumption costs, increase flow rates while still maintaining solids drying and maximum cut point without worry of "washthrough" in high and medium G-Force separation applications across many different types of sludge, slurry, or waste streams.

PLC & HMI Controls

User friendly and intuitive, the fully variable panel design allows operators to

infinitely "tune" the machine to the most optimum operating parameters while monitoring

amperage (torque), flow rate, motor temp, and many other parameters that are necessary

for maximized solids separation and efficiency. The innovative design is all through touch

screen and programmed to take the "human" error factor out of the equation with

software that ensures the Main Drive, Back Drive (differential speed) and Feed Pump

(progressive cavity) all work in sync and "talk" to one another.

Low Differential Speeds

You regulate the differential speeds between the Axial Flow Scroll and the main bowl. Many machines, especially drilling machines, are designed with fixed speeds or variable speeds that are very high (~25 - 55 RPM Differential Speeds) which allows higher flow rates in higher solids applications, but are not ideal for production/ refinery, or slop oil applications where emulsions, ultra-fine or light solids are present in the slurry stream.

Progressive Cavity Feed Pumps

Many competitors continue to use lower cost “trash pumps” or standard centrifugal pumps

which only create more havoc with strong emulsions or colloidal particles, or low specific

gravity slurries where chemical reactions are introduced to help optimize separation. Using Progressive Cavity feed pumps helps mitigate any shearing of chemicals and ensure the operators have infinite control and real time Gallons / Minute (GPM) readings for tuning in chemical additions, ultimately saving our clients dollars on chemicals, whether it be coagulants and flocculants or de-emulsifiers.

The 518 is designed with an 8.5 degree beach angle in addition to its lambda ratio of

4:1 (bowl is 4 times longer than the diameter – excellent design for longer retention time of

solids, increased cut point, and reduced moisture content in the solids discard). We have also deliberately plugged the first set of discharge ports, adding ~ 1” of additional

"beach" drying time as the solids move up the drying zone. This little

modification alone has dramatically improved REGS’ ability to differentiate from

competitors on a "retention" basis when testing solids samples.
